Report INTERNET FUTURES The time has come for internet stock furures. On March 25 1999 the government gave approval for the Kansas City Board of Trade to trade ISDEX futures. The ISDEX contains 50 stocks representative of the diversity of publicly traded U.S. companies that derive revenue primarily from the Internet, including stocks from the software, hardware, content, commerce and communications/access sectors. The KCBT filed to trade ISDEX futures and futures options in mid-December, and now has received approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Trading will begin June 1, 1999. What is the ISDEX? ISDEX is an acronym for The Internet Stock Index, a listing of 50 stocks that represent the gamut of publicly-traded Internet companies. internet.com LLC believes the ISDEX best represents the Internet investment barometer and it is one of the first pure Internet indexes. ISDEX is quoted on a regular basis in leading financial and media including The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Dow Jones Newswire, CNBC, SmartMoney magazine and others. internet.com LLC takes this broad acceptance and criteria for ISDEX as an approval by the industry and investors to its makeup and composition. ISDEX reaches more than 400,000 people in print and/or Web and email via Internet World trade newspaper, Upside magazine, internet.com network, Yahoo Finance, and Upside.com.
